Do You See What I See?
I love creating art, poetry, music, and multimedia pieces. Now that I've graduated from school I can afford to purchase my own digital camera, and so I've created a Flickr account to host all of my visions captured via digital camera. Do you see what I see?

Can a blog function as a resume?

(Photo courtesy of mwashin. I don't believe in not citing sources.)
In a few words, I wanted to quickly state the ideas behind the genesis of this project.
This past spring, one of my editors at The Collegian suggested I begin a resume blog in order to showcase my resume and some of the work that I have done in the past. I am no stranger to blogging, having maintained several personal blogs in the past, and such a project made sense to me.
As you can see on the left, I've created a blog roll that operates as a table of contents for the specific sections of this blog. What I have done is create separate blogs, title and format them in similar fashions, and then link them all together as if they were separate sections of my own website. This move was made out of a desire for clarity and purpose of each section, as I do like to write, and it was a cheap way to create my own "site" while still having the fluidity of a blog. I've done small bits of web design in the past, and am only recently heading back into it, so I figured that this blog could function as a resume/portfolio blog in addition to allowing me to start heading back into the waters of web design.
I've also set up two URLs for this site, creating almost a "front door/back door" feel. One URL - http://www.joshuadpeterson.com - will direct you to this side of the blog, and the other URL - http://www.emergingfromthewaters.com - will direct you to the more serious portion of blog. The latter section was originally the main page of the blog, and will continue to be so, as it will contain pertinent updates made to the blog itself, but since I wish to present a more professional side the first URL mentioned will be my main page for the time being.
So, to answer the question posed in the title of this entry: yes.
Thank you for visiting. Please feel free to take a look around.
